Stands for 'Brake Specific Fuel Consumption'. It measures an engine's fuel efficiency—the rate of fuel consumption divided by the power produced.
Duty Cycle:
The percentage of time the fuel injector is open and flowing fuel. For optimal engine safety and injector lifespan, the duty cycle shouldn't exceed 80%.
Injector Capacity Formula:
(Horsepower × BSFC) ÷ (Number of Injectors × 0.80)
